Due to a congested schedule, Vitality has forfeited their slot in the ESL One New York 2019 Closed Qualifier, seeing Sprout advance to the semi-final.
The news is announced shortly ahead of the scheduled start of the opening games of the ESL One New York Closed Qualifier, in which eight teams were set on competing for one slot at the tournament.
Vitality's upcoming schedule includes flying to Dallas, Texas for the MDL S31 Global Challenge and MDL S31 Europe Finals (12-14 July), where the Frenchmen will have a chance to qualify for ESL Pro League S10 through a match against Sprout. Following that, Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt and co. will attend IEM Chicago on 18-21 of July. The team's coach Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam added that he departs for America today, with the rest of the team leaving tomorrow.
On Twitter, NBK- revealed that the information about the withdrawal was communicated to ESL on Sunday, but no replacement team was invited to the Closed Qualifier. Therefore, Sprout got a free pass into the semi-final, where they will meet the winner of CR4ZY - MOUZ.
