Orgless and Yeah have earned the last two slots in the North American closed qualifier for the Americas Minor after topping the final open bracket.
Pujan "FNS" Mehta's Orgless squad prevailed in their fourth attempt to qualify, fighting their way past New England Whalers and Faint to set up a clash against Big Frames for a spot in the closed stage. There, the trio of Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik, Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker, and Gage "Infinite" Green combined to help their side to wins on Nuke and Inferno to take the series 2-0.
Meanwhile, the Brazilian side of Yeah attained permission to compete in the final qualifier after they were ruled out of the third open bracket because they had not requested to play in the region in advance.
Rodrigo "RCF" Figueiredo and company made short work of their opponents early on in the bracket to set up a best-of-three bout against Recon 5. Yeah opened the series with a 16-13 win on Inferno, but found themselves on the losing side of a thirty-round affair on their own pick of Train before they were able to take the decider, Dust2, 16-5.
The final team list for the North American closed qualifier looks as follows:
The NA closed qualifier will run from March 6-8, utilizing a double-elimination, best-of-three bracket to determine six teams that will advance to the Americas Minor for the ESL One Rio Major.
